A Message From Kim Lunato

One of my life verses is 1 Thess 5:11 "Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing." I love that being involved in Habitat for Humanity's Women Build we get to encourage and empower not only our future homeowner, Jolisa and her 3 children, but also the volunteer women who do the building! What can be more empowering than knowing that that super fun and rewarding day spent sweating, lifting, hammering, cutting, measuring, also will lead to a home where a family can, in Jolisa's own words, carry out Acts 2 -to gather. Both as believers, and non-believers. To invite people into a safe space to do life together. A place to be loved and have connection and conversation. We hope you'll consider partnering with us as we raise funds to build this home for a special family! My new favorite quote: Legacy is not what you accomplish. Legacy is what others accomplish because of you. - Mark Batterson. Thank you for pouring into Jolisa and her children's future!!!

In Support of Habitat for Humanity Boone County

Habitat for Humanity of Boone County envisions a world where everyone has a decent, safe, and affordable place to call home. As Christ’s hands and feet, we put this vision into action by building and improving homes alongside individuals and families who are working toward housing stability. We believe that a home is more than four walls—it is a foundation for strength, stability, and opportunity. Through partnerships with volunteers, donors, businesses, and community organizations, we create pathways to sustainable homeownership and help break the cycle of poverty. Since 1984, Habitat for Humanity of Boone County has been offering a hand up, not a handout. Our partner families invest in their homes through sweat equity and work side by side with volunteers to build a place they are proud to call home. To date, we have built 82 homes and helped more than 250 hardworking adults and children achieve greater housing stability and the dream of homeownership.

Together, we are building more than houses—we are building hope, opportunity, and stronger communities.
