A Message From Cindi Lafayette

This will be our 10th year supporting the Women’s Build of Boone County. We have worked in scorching hot days, rainy down pouring days and beautiful Indiana summer days to help 9 families move into their Home Sweet Home. I look forward to each year for the challenge of learning new skills, working along side of friends and the Habitat family, and knowing we are giving a family the strength, stability and independence they need to build a better life for themselves.

Habitat’s vision is of a world where everyone has a decent place to live. We work towards this vision, being Christ’s Hands and Feet, by building and improving homes in partnership with individuals and families in need of decent and affordable homes. We have chosen to create opportunities for people to have sustainable housing by partnering with volunteers, donors, and corporations to break the cycle of poverty. ​ Since 1984, Habitat for Humanity of Boone County has been offering a hand up not a hand out enabling our partner families to achieve pride in home ownership working side by side with volunteers to build houses. We have built 70 homes helped over 200 hard working adults and children with their dream of housing stability.
