A Message From Susie Viehmann
Habitat for Humanity is an incredibly uplifting cause to be a part of. It is the epitome of providing a hand UP rather than a hand out. From start to finish, the process creates a ripple effect that is generational.
Recipients must meet an extensive requirement list – underscoring their commitment, including:
- must complete at least 400 hours of sweat equity toward the building of Habitat homes (their home or others’).
- must be willing to attend required workshops for success in financial/homeownership.
- ability to afford mortgage payments, property taxes, homeowners insurance.
Each of our team members commit to raising a minimum of $250. Any donation toward this family's new home is much appreciated! Thank you, very much.

In Support of Habitat for Humanity Boone County
Habitat’s vision is of a world where everyone has a decent place to live. We work towards this vision, being Christ’s Hands and Feet, by building and improving homes in partnership with individuals and families in need of decent and affordable homes. We have chosen to create opportunities for people to have sustainable housing by partnering with volunteers, donors, and corporations to break the cycle of poverty. Since 1984, Habitat for Humanity of Boone County has been offering a hand up not a hand out enabling our partner families to achieve pride in home ownership working side by side with volunteers to build houses. We have built 70 homes helped over 200 hard working adults and children with their dream of housing stability.
