This year marks the 12th year for the Habitat for Humanity-Boone County, Indiana - Women Build and I am excited for this year to be my 8th year as a Team Leader as well as my 10th year building a home for a deserving, hard-working Boone County family in need of affordable housing. I love the camaraderie with my teammates as we build together and the sense of excitement each of us gets upon learning a new skill (using a power saw, reading an electrical wiring diagram or installing soffit and windows)! And I love the heartwarming/ emotional house dedication when the project is complete and the family receives the keys to their new home. Building a home comes with many costs so I am challenging myself to raise a total of $2,500 to assist in funding this project. Each participant is asked to contribute a minimum of $250 towards the total building expenses (over $130,00) and I hope you will be able to support me in meeting my goal. Any donation, whether it be financial or thoughts of encouragement and prayers, will be gratefully appreciated. With this year's theme of "Every Home Has A Story," I hope you will be a supporting character in helping a Boone County family live out "their story" in an affordable home. With much gratitude – Penny
