A Message From LJ Abrams

Dear Friends and Family, I am thrilled once again to be a part of the Holliday Farms "Handicaps & Hammers" Habitat of Humanity Team. Our all women team is building another home for a family in Boone County Zionsville, Indiana. As you can imagine there is a lot of work that goes into building a home along with a tremendous amount of fundraising. This is a very humbling and emotional experience for me and I am honored that I am working with such a great group of women to help others. Receiving a home and knowing that you have a safe roof over your heads has a huge impact on parents and their children lives. This certainly makes you realize how lucky we all are. The families that receive a home must also put in many volunteer hours in order to qualify to receive a home of their own. This is definitely a "Pay it Forward" organization with such a profound impact for so many. Please consider making a donation to my page to help support this wonderful cause. Any amount is greatly appreciated. If you have questions please don't hesitate to contact me. Thank you so very much LJ PS- Just in case you wanted to know: Last year I was lifting the garage roof trusses and hammering them into place and that was a ton of work!

In Support of Habitat for Humanity Boone County

Habitat for Humanity of Boone County envisions a world where everyone has a decent, safe, and affordable place to call home. As Christ’s hands and feet, we put this vision into action by building and improving homes alongside individuals and families who are working toward housing stability. We believe that a home is more than four walls—it is a foundation for strength, stability, and opportunity. Through partnerships with volunteers, donors, businesses, and community organizations, we create pathways to sustainable homeownership and help break the cycle of poverty. Since 1984, Habitat for Humanity of Boone County has been offering a hand up, not a handout. Our partner families invest in their homes through sweat equity and work side by side with volunteers to build a place they are proud to call home. To date, we have built 82 homes and helped more than 250 hardworking adults and children achieve greater housing stability and the dream of homeownership.

Together, we are building more than houses—we are building hope, opportunity, and stronger communities.
