A Message From Christy’s Crew

We are a group of gritty and gracious women who love helping other women and their families build their safe, secure, beautiful forever home! Habitat for Humanity gives us that opportunity! This will be my 10th year working on the women build and 9th year to lead a team. Being a part of this every year is one of the most rewarding and fun things I get to do with a bunch of my friends! We all love learning new skills each year and seeing the progress made on our work day. The other cool thing about the women build is that we, all of the ladies on all of the teams, raise the funds to build these homes. The homeowner will have a mortgage and is financially responsible but that’s what allows Habitat to keep building year after year. Please join us by supporting us financially if you can! It’s one of the best investments you can make!

Habitat for Humanity of Boone County envisions a world where everyone has a decent, safe, and affordable place to call home. As Christ’s hands and feet, we put this vision into action by building and improving homes alongside individuals and families who are working toward housing stability. We believe that a home is more than four walls—it is a foundation for strength, stability, and opportunity. Through partnerships with volunteers, donors, businesses, and community organizations, we create pathways to sustainable homeownership and help break the cycle of poverty. Since 1984, Habitat for Humanity of Boone County has been offering a hand up, not a handout. Our partner families invest in their homes through sweat equity and work side by side with volunteers to build a place they are proud to call home. To date, we have built 82 homes and helped more than 250 hardworking adults and children achieve greater housing stability and the dream of homeownership.

Together, we are building more than houses—we are building hope, opportunity, and stronger communities.
