A Message From Sam’s Legacy
Building on a Legacy of Love in Action
We are a team of female family members honoring a deeply personal piece of history: our father in law and grandfather, Rev. Samuel Emerick. In 1976, he stood alongside Habitat’s founders to serve as the very first Chairman of the International Board of Directors, famously declaring that "Love isn’t confined to words or pretty things. It’s action." He spent his life putting that love into motion, later moving to Florida to personally birth four local Habitat affiliates, the Sam Emerick Center/Punta Gorda ReSale (more commonly known as ReStore) Store and build homes for those in need. By supporting our Women Build team, you aren't just helping us hit a fundraising goal—you are helping us carry his lifelong torch forward, turning bricks, mortar, and collective action into safe, stable homes for families in our community.

In Support of Habitat for Humanity Boone County
Habitat’s vision is of a world where everyone has a decent place to live. We work towards this vision, being Christ’s Hands and Feet, by building and improving homes in partnership with individuals and families in need of decent and affordable homes. We have chosen to create opportunities for people to have sustainable housing by partnering with volunteers, donors, and corporations to break the cycle of poverty. Since 1984, Habitat for Humanity of Boone County has been offering a hand up not a hand out enabling our partner families to achieve pride in home ownership working side by side with volunteers to build houses. We have built 70 homes helped over 200 hard working adults and children with their dream of housing stability.
